1-to-1 Therapy
Therapy is a place to understand yourself, reduce anxiety, break unhelpful patterns and build a life that feels more stable, confident and connected. My work with individuals is focused, practical and grounded. Clients often arrive feeling overwhelmed or stuck, and leave feeling clearer, calmer and more in control of their choices.
Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, heartbreak, dating issues, intrusive thoughts, boundary problems, low self-worth, people-pleasing, trauma, anger or general confusion about life direction, this space is designed to help you steady yourself and move forward.

What We Work On
People come to therapy for many reasons. Common themes include:
Anxiety and Overthinking
Online Dating Difficulties
Self-hate
Your Past shaping Present behaviour
Low mood or Depression
Breakups, Heartbreak, and Loss
Intrusive or Obsessive Thoughts
Stress, Burnout or Life transitions
Relationship stress or confusion
Boundaries and People Pleasing
Repeating patterns you want to break
You do not need to arrive with a clear goal. We will work that out together.
What Sessions Feel Like
1. Arrival
You come into the space, settle in and can choose tea or coffee if you'd like.
2. Check-in
We talk about how you are today, what's been happening and what feels most important.
3. Review of any goals
If we agree on anything to focus on between sessions, we check in on that progress.
4. Choosing today's focus
Some clients come with a clear topic; others are unsure. Both are normal. If you don't know what to talk about, I will help you find the thread.
5. The Work
This might involve talking through events, understanding patterns, developing new skills, planning practical steps, or exploring deeper emotional themes. The pace can be gentle or more directive depending on your needs.
Homework and the Therapy Notepad
Most clients receive some form of homework, especially at the start. It might be:
-
A practical task to organise your life
-
A reflective question to sit with
-
An observation to make about your week
-
A pattern to notice in your relationship
I encourage every client to keep a therapy notepad. You can take notes in the session and write between sessions. Clients who do this progress faster and feel more in control of their own growth.
My Therapy Spaces

The Garden Summer House
Most individual sessions take place in my private summer house at the end of the garden. It has two large armchairs facing outward to the trees. In summer, the doors open and you can hear birds and the rustle of leaves. In winter, it becomes warm and cosy with soft lighting, fairy lights and a heater. Many clients describe it as a retreat from daily life.

Indoor Therapy Room
Occasionally we use the indoor space in my home. It is calm, plant-filled and comfortable, with a quiet atmosphere and my cat Milly drifting through at times. This room is used mostly for couples, but individuals may be in here depending on the day.

Online Therapy
If you prefer or need flexibility, sessions can be held via Zoom. Many clients use a mix of in-person and online sessions, especially when travelling or during busy periods.

First step? Make contact.
Choosing the right counsellor matters, and the best way to know if we’re a good fit is a brief conversation. I offer a free 15-minute phone call where you can get a sense of my approach, ask questions and see how it feels to talk with me. There is no pressure to book further sessions. If it feels right, we will arrange your first appointment and take things from there.
